Hi folks! Mike here. I hope you don't mind me taking a moment to send out a quick site update (I promise this will be brief and I'll get back to the standard content you've come to expect).

I just wanted to let you know that I've recently launched a companion podcast called "Hack FAQs: The AI Brief" which features analysis and commentary powered by Google's NotebookLM AI service. Each episode will be about 10-20 minutes long and focus on one technical concept. If you're curious, check it out at: https://podcast.hackfaqs.com (which currently redirects to the spotify webplayer – I'm working on distributing the show to other podcast platforms soon).

So now, let's tackle the obvious questions:

  • Why, oh why, is Mike launching this?
  • Why is it AI-generated?

The simple answer (to both questions actually) is that I just don't have much time. If you're like me, you constantly consumed with a gajillion tasks so it's difficult to find time to learn. A podcast format allows me to learn on the go. I figured that the readership out there might be in a similar situation.

I'm a fan of Google NotebookLM because, as a user, I can control what data it's analyzing on a given topic. For that reason, each podcast episode description will have links to all of the data sources I used to feed the subject on NotebookLM. Feel free to check these materials out for additional learning too.

Anyway, I hope you find it beneficial. Constructive feedback is appreciated so please feel free to send it my way. As always, happy learning!
